When high flier Anthony was 17 he won a scholarship to train as a fighter pilot. But he soon realised that there's no business like show business, and declined the RAF's offer. His first tastes of the entertainment industry included working at a Manchester radio station and performing at the Oldham Theatre Workshop. Anthony then moved to London and, after a spell of working in bars and shops, became production manager for a Channel 4 roadshow programme, where he was soon launched into the position of main presenter. His laid-back charm and friendly manner led a producer to suggest he'd make an ideal shopping channel presenter, and after working for other retail channels, Anthony says he's now very happy to be at the home of home shopping!
